Lipids@Wayne is a Midwest forum for the exchange of ideas and knowledge in the field of lipid research. Annual research symposia and bi-weekly seminars serve as a collaborative platform for researchers working in a wide range of disciplines. The 2024 Lipids@Wayne symposium will focus on the diverse roles of lipid-mediated signaling and organelle contact site trafficking, along with the mechanistic regulation of these important pathways. Keynote talks will feature Dr. Tamas Balla (National Institutes of Health) and Dr. Jean Vance (University of Alberta). Lipids@Wayne also recognizes the importance of developing the next generation of scientists. Therefore, this year’s symposium will put an emphasis on highlighting the work of select student trainees, chosen from the pool of submitted abstracts, who will have the opportunity to give either a 15-min research talk or a 5-min poster preview talk. Awards will be given for the best oral presentation and the top three poster presentations!
